Sorry this post is so late - does anyone still have a copy of this wonderful document, and could you email me a copy?

I have to write down my aims, etc, where I see myself in the future for Thursday as bossie is refusing to speak to me after I have requested a meeting, and I want to have as many ideas as possible before I present this.

I'm not a happy kitten at the moment.

Thanks in advance,

Pussy

Couriust hasnt posted since 2001, but some of the people who requested that paper still post, maybe one of them still has a copy.  To all those who have been posting for years and still visit, I just want to say thank you.

What are you looking for, maybe there is an article or piece on DeskDemon that can assist you as well?

I wrote an article which was published in the April 2005 issue of OfficePro Magazine called Developing the 21st Century Administrative Professional (subtitled Strategies for Taking Your Career to the Next Level). It's available here:

My problem is not so much moving to the next level as establishing another level. I have taken on a substantial number of duties previously done by middle managers who have left the company and were not replaced. Our Human Resources Dept. revised my job description to include those duties, but would not change my title.

I received a somewhat larger than average salary increase last  year, but HR would not adjust the salary range for my position.

If anyone has a document listing administrative titles and the duties typically associated with them, I would really appreciate receiving a copy.

Pat

Patfalk, welcome!  Hopefully this will only be the first of many posts to come.  I'm sure someone has something that you might find useful.  I seem to recall that we had a post at some point that went into this a bit... more of a discussion maybe.  Perhaps you'll find it if you search old threads....  Otherwise, wait a bit and give some of our long-time posters a chance to see what they have, look around DD and see if we have an archived article there somewhere, and our newer posters can chime in with all their wealth of knowledge.

Once more, welcome... and good luck finding what you'e looking for.
