I work for a new boss!  That is a big change, the style is different, some of my duties have changed because of it.  This is a better boss, he is much more in tune with helping me succeed.

Our office space has changed dramatically.  We went from 1200 sq ft down to about 550 sq ft. since October.  It's been a mess, and basically hard to function in an office under construction.

It's about 90% done for now, and may be more efficient in the long run, but personalities in the office changed dramatically while we were changing things around and shifting things.  We're still settling things back to a "normal" state here, but that has been the major change so far in this office.

As a result of business separation, my 2 directors relocated to another floor.  I remain where I am working for the Chairman sitting alongside PA to the CEO.

New boss ... my old one left in October.  Nothing really has changed in terms of the job though.

The name of the company I work for has changed! Our company was bought out last October, so we also have new benefits and a new pay schedule. It will be interesting to see what other changes occur in the coming year.

Our office space expanded - when I started 2 years ago I was told we were getting a new office and it finally happened just before Christmas.

Sadly more space means the chaps I share with have spread their mess out so I am not sure how much better it is.  I also lost the little bit of screening I had so now working on confidential documents is well ... not confidential ... (sighs).  Now if I had designed the new office space .....

Two things!  One good, one not so good ...

I am now working for a new boss who is an absolute sweetheart (and my last two here weren't bad, either).

So that's the good thing.  The bad one is -

I now have about twice as much work to do as when I first started two years ago and, whilst not altogether bad as I like to be busy, I sometimes feel completely overwhelmed with how much I have to do ... and it ain't gonna change

Two things:  company was bought out by a huge national company, so new pay method & cycle, new benefits, new systems, etc.  And....got a promotion from office manager to project manager just last week Smiley

I learned a new proprietary software program for my industry.  At first it was different as I am very used to MS Office programs, however they did an upgrade mid year and the newer version is much more user friendly - more linking between data.  (So I guess I had to learn it twice Smiley

Our company moved to a new office, in a new town about 15 minutes away from the old one.  So now its a new route to work (I did get a new, more reliable car though!), new scenery, and still searching for new places to order lunch that are eatable!!
