Just curious - which category do you fall into? I'm afraid I used to fall into the latter when I worked in administration, but now I think I understand why! I was recently introduced to personality testing, namely the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, which uses a short test to categorise your underlying personality into four elements (each corresponding to a letter). I know it sounds a bit whacky, like astrology, but it has a sound basis and seems to provide a shockingly accurate description of the 'true you'. My type is 'INTP', which, among many other things means that I'm naturally disorganised and leave things to the last minute. No wonder I didn't get on with my job! It's an interesting exercise to do if you have a bit of spare time, as long as you answer the questions honestly (or there's no point). It's important to remember though that there is no such thing as a 'good' or 'bad' result, and that you can still overcome your underlying tendencies if you try, for example, I can force myself to be organised if needs be: it's just harder for me than for other people with a different personality type. You can take the test online here: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes1.htmSo, I'm interested to see if people think they really suit their jobs, or if there are maybe aspects that they needlessly struggle with. Food for thought, in any case!

I took the test and came out a ENFJ. I'm not quite sure what that means. Extraverted Intuitive Feeling Judging, yes I am extraverted, intuitive and feeling but I never thought I was judging. We learn something all the time. Ddiva

I'm an INTJ. The one explanation link called it "the Mastermind".
That's a scary thought!

ESTJ - Extraverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging
I have to say I found this very interesting - not sure if I've completed something similar before but it's a fairly accurate description.

I am ENTP (Extraverted iNtuitive Thinking Perceiving) and it is a perfect description of me. For those of you that might not have noticed it, there was a link to explain what the various combinations are like: http://typelogic.com/entp.html - there are links at the top of this page for each of the combinations. I'm a ENFJ Extraverted Intuitive Feeling Judging
And according to the Keirsey.com site, I'm a Teacher. Reading the description, that fits me to a "t". "The Idealists called Teachers are abstract in their thought and speech, cooperative in their style of achieving goals, and directive and expressive in their interpersonal relations... Teachers expect the very best of those around them, and this expectation, usually expressed as enthusiastic encouragement, motivates action in others and the desire to live up to their expectations. Teachers have the charming characteristic of taking for granted that their expectations will be met, their implicit commands obeyed, never doubting that people will want to do what they suggest. And, more often than not, people do, because this type has extraordinary charisma.... The Teachers are found in no more than 2 or 3 percent of the population. They like to have things settled and arranged. They prefer to plan both work and social engagements ahead of time and tend to be absolutely reliable in honoring these commitments. At the same time, Teachers are very much at home in complex situations which require the juggling of much data with little pre-planning. An experienced Teacher group leader can dream up, effortlessly, and almost endlessly, activities for groups to engage in, and stimulating roles for members of the group to play."
This is just a synopsis (quoted) from the description, but it did seem like me. Interesting.
