I just received documents from a vendor, sent out by their admin. She signed the letter "J____ P______, CPS/CAP, Director, Administrative Services".
I've got my CPS/CAP but don't usually add it in contexts outside IAAP correspondence--and I've never seen anyone use it that way. Do any of you?

I worked very hard to attain my certification and I am very proud to have achieved it, and I do use the caption after my name on all correspondence. It has opened up conversations in which I have had to explain what they signify and other admins have expressed interest in attaining this certificate.
Why shouldn't we be proud. Engineers use PE, Accounts use CPA, etc. We are just as important as them and should let the world know what we are capable of.
Just my 2 cents worth.

I use mine (though usually just the CAP, rather than CAP/CPS even though I could use either).

Good for you, DD! I was just curious as to whether it was common practice. Maybe I ought to start...but I need to get recertified and I'm nowhere near having enough points.

If I had it, I'd use it! The more that people use it the more well-known it will become, which can only be a good thing! DonnaP99

We talked about this when I was part of the IAAP organization. I really enjoyed the networking and informational meetings, but things became too busy for me at home, so I had to drop out last year. Since some of us already had 4-year college degrees, we thought it would have been silly to include the certification in our title block, so we elected not to include it. Others did not have such degrees, so they felt they wanted to add the designation. It's a matter or personal preference. Movinonup

In a word no, but perhaps we should. I do however intend to laminate my MOS Master cert and post it at my desk for all to see.
