The DeskDemon home page (US site) is not showing up correctly on my computer - just text, no graphics, photos, etc.  Is anyone else having problems or just me?  UK site and forums pages are OK.

It has been fixed, but it appears some people have the broken page suck in their cache.  I would clear your history if you see the page not formatting right.  For those who do not know how to clear your history:

Go to Tools at the top of Internet Explorer
Drop down to Internet Options
Click on the button clear history.

I usually delete my cookies at the same time.

If that doesn't work, please email me at susans@deskdemon.com  We are tyring to work on a way to get this cleared automatically.

I cleared my history but when I log on I still don't see any graphics.

Any way to get around it if you can't use the "clear history" option?  Our IT security has that option greyed out, so I can't do it.  How about a way to go behind the scenes to the actual folder it's in and clearing it that way??  Otherwise, I have a minimum of 20 days of this... the number of days it will store the info.  Sheesh!

Try hitting your refresh button Countrigal. That may reset it.

You can also go into the Windows Temporary Internet Files directory through windows explorer and try manually deleting the cookies there.

Already deleted cookies and temp files, but the "history" section is not available... and that's what I think is causing the issue.  Will try the "refresh" option, but don't hold out a lot of hope, since it messed up on 2 separate computers on 2 separate days.  But here's hoping...

refresh and the other options don't work for me either.  such a drag trying to read my email and the rest of DD and having to wait half an hour for it to open up and it still looking wonky!

Sigh!

Well, I refreshed, deleted, and generally gave my browser a thorough spring-clean, but the cached pages still came up and took ages to load.

I manage to have sneaked in here now, though, while the internet hobgoblin wasn't looking.  That was lucky!  I felt quite unnerved at not being able to visit our special palace.

My nerves are so frayed, I need a restorative cup of tea.

The UK section was never an issue?  Are you having problems today with the UK stie?  This is a real perplexing problem since eveyrthing looks fine to everyone else?  I will ask someone on the tech side if there is anything else we can do.

It seems all right now, thank you, but I had problems logging on since Monday.  It's only this afternoon that the site uploaded quickly (a whole day after I had cleared out history etc - which is cleared every couple of days anyway).  I guess these things just happen from time to time.

I'm having the problem now, taking forever to login, and the homepage is not right.  Everything is to the left and there are no pictures showing, all text, until it goes to the forums, that everything looks "normal."  Don't know how long I'll be here since it took a good long time to get in, I may not check back again this afternoon.

I had to clear my history a couple of times and then switched over to the UK website.  When I switched back to the US, it cleared it up.  I really don't know what switching back and forth had to do with it, but it worked,

Deleted all cookies and all internet files and still extremely slow loggin in, and it's only this site, I've been surfing elsewhere and it's fine.  Also, on my home laptop, it's not an issue, it comes right up and the formatting is good, only difference there is it automatically logs me onto the UK site, not US site.

Still having the same problems this morning, extremely slow logging in and the formats of the US and UK site are really off.  Oh well, I'll check in when I have down time, but it's really slow!
