F average) so I've told them to take their all-weather coats and rain gear.
I'm wondering if there are any customs, traditions, or protocol procedures that they need to be aware of? I would hate for them to make a major (or even minor) faux pas. They leave Friday, so I need info pretty quick.
Thanks.

Peachy, my DH is Norwegian (from Bergen) and he tells me there aren't so many things to worry about as far as offending Norwegians (like there would be in Japan, for example). Most Norwegians speak very good English and while they tend to be a bit more formal than Americans generally, if your bosses behave as they would in American business situations, they should be fine. He mentioned that flowers are a very acceptable gift for most people, even men, but he left the country as a teenager and doesn't have much else to offer as far as business behavior. Oslo is a large modern city, very clean and beautiful (the entire country is cleaner than the US and with spectacular scenery). It might not hurt if your bosses could learn a word or two in Norwegian, things like "hello", "goodbye", "thank you", etc. I can spell them out for you but check out language tapes for pronunciation help. (PS, I'm so jealous of them! I'd LOVE to go back again--but it's an expensive place!) Good luck (or lykke till as they say in Bergen)
