Hi all
On Friday, our franking machine got a label stuck in its inner workings and we were without it until today.
I never realised how much I would miss it! We did have an alternative which was the old system of dividing the post into set weights and then writing all of this down in a post book. None of these easy 'stack scale', works it all out for you magic! And it took so much longer to do the post this way. If bossie wants an example of automatic things cutting down on man hours then this would be what I would throw at him!
Anyway......'Frankie Frama' (as I have so affectionately christened this wonderful machine now!) is spitting out envelopes and labels again like a good 'un! I'm gonna take such good care of him from now on!
All the best, Nicola
PS. You may think this post is a bit mad......but it's just been the highlight of my day! lol!

Lol! I completely understand. Post is one of my least favourite things to do. I was very glad when at one job they had a system where they threw everything on the scales and divided by the number of packages. It was much easier.
I still bless the day someone invented sticky-backed stamps. I hated having to lick stamps. I can still remember what stamp clue tasted like.

Hiya!
I love those 'self sticking' stamps! I remember being in the States a few years back and thinking how wonderful they were.....and then we got them in the UK - brilliant invention!
All the best, Nicola.
