See my blurb/reply to andrea's performance review question ....
The company I was employed by (which closed) decided to get involved with IIP. However as I said the HR manager was not qualified to do her job and was more interested in having the IIP sign up on the wall for clients to see than actually investing in the company or the employees. Personally I never seen any benefit as the company was run into the ground by an incompetent management team who could not do their jobs.
Your company or dept needs to be run by the right people for you to see any benefit. If your company have got involved in IIP, then you should be seeing some benefit as they are after all, Investing in People!!!
Not sure this answers your question, but just my h'penny's worth.

Goodness, that sounds exactly like my previous employers! The IiP sign was proudly displayed in reception, and emblazoned on the letterhead, but very little evidence of actual action - unless, of course, you worked in the Personnel department or were one of the HR Manager's "favourites".

I worked for a company who decided to go for IIP while I was there and they were struggling to get it. (I left so don't know if they got there or not.) They had a similar sort of scenario to the previous examples - all departments were short staffed and over-stretched, except Personnel. The Head of Personnel was creating her own little empire around her. Because this company was very good to work for (with the one major exception) and were still having difficulty getting IIP recognition, I assumed that any company which did display the IIP logo would be good employers. Perhaps I was wrong.

Can anyone enlighten me on what IIP means to employers and employees. As I said you can certainly display the sign but that means absolutely nothing if you don't act upon it.
