Good Friday Afternoon... The last I wrote last month was about my HORRIBLE 90 day review... TODAY I had a 30 day follow up and he told me "I have improved" but that I still don't meet up to par... he continued to tell me that when I was hired and when he was looking at my resume, he thought that I was "up there" but when I came on board it wasn't that impressive... Well ladies, I came from 5 years of Internet Technology, there I was treated well and they were impressed TOTALLY with my work (until the layoffs) now I am working for a construction company who still is in 1987.. I also was a part time Web Designer... Today right before the review, I accidentaly fogot to space in a letter and in the review he had the nerve to go off about that ONE mistake I have made in a month... I thought it was horrible and hope to God that I am given a different direction.. Thank you for letting me VENT (again)

Okay, it sounds to me like the skillset that's important to you isn't all that important to the employer.  Are you ever going to be able to "marry" what you do with his expectations? In the US job market it's a tough situation right now, but it sounds like you might want to begin checking on your options.  You've been horribly unhappy for some time now.

What did the employer do? Extend that probation again or formalize your working status? At what point will you have the protections of a full time employee (limited as they are)? And what if anything can you do to make the work situation more liveable for both of you? Last time you met you mentioned that Bossie was extremely unhappy, this time you say he was a tad happier but managed to go off on a single mistake, putting the lecture on the typo aside, (and I know that's hard to do but try) do you see light at the end of the communications tunnel with this employer? And if not, what would you like to do about it (the perfect world scenario) and would do you think you can realistically do about in? (the real world scenario).  Time to start asking yourself some hard questions.

You know we're here for you keep us advised!
