Is it me, or does it seem like the Microsoft clip art collection is quite sexist?? I have been working on a large PowerPoint presentation for my boss. Our staff is 98% female, so naturally I am looking for mostly female business clip-art. The majority seem to be in "traditionally female" roles (mothers, brides, teachers, nurses, etc.) There isn't a very large selection of "strong" females in this collection. Or maybe it just seems that way to me because I'm feeling a bit tired and grouchy. It's been a loooooonnnggg week !
Does anyone have any suggestions of where I can find some good quality, free clip art of "strong" women. I did a Google search without great success. My presentation is nearly complete but I'd love to find some clip art for next time.
Now if my boss will only stop the constant "fine tuning" I may actually finish this presentation...

I sometimes get free clip art from http://www.Ditto.com. You can do a search based on keywords, then receive pages of possibilities from the websites out there. CopyBoy007 DeskDemon Forum Board Staff

I used to use www.arttoday.com but they have become more expensive. They are excellent for emergency pictures, but you have to pay. Barry's clipart is the one I tend to use now but I don't think the office stuff is any less sexist! I have been known to use Google image search and e-mail and ask for permission to use the graphic. I got a lovely fractal firework this way for a poster. [url]http://www.aaaclipart.com/ [url] lets you download the first page of their collections for free. The office ones have - shock! horror! - women in them. Bethalize Deskdemon Forum Board Staff

I don't know if you've got Microsoft Publisher, but there are some great office pictures in there, and plenty with women in them. Holding a phone in your hand does not indicate a secretarial/admin role, after all! There are plenty of good quality photographs in the collection, too.

Some of them even have a woman who looks distinctly like The Boss. You only need to insert them into a blank file, then copy and paste them into your presentation, Word document etc.
