I’m on strike from cleaning up the office. Right now the last person that used the binding machine left six pieces of double punched paper around it. All the copy area supplies are spread out rather than in their homes (staple removers tape dispenser etc). The kitchen I won’t even go into not dirty dishes but coffee supplies drips etc. The file room is another story altogether. As I walk through an area I tidy up and frankly I’m fed up. So I’m going on strike – everyone else apparently does and it’s not an issue (three other admins in the immediate area). I have to admit to making myself NOT cleanup which may drive me more crazy than the mess. How hard is to leave a common area neat for the next person? Am I being to OCD?

I start with something like a note... Your mother doesn't work here... Please leave the area exactly (OR BETTER) as you found it! Thank you.

Stick to your gun AtlantaZ3 - you are not paid to tidy up after everyone else
