There are ducks in our breakroom.

Okay, not real ducks but close to it.

I was on my way to get my mid morning capuccino when right in front of me two women in perfect sync waddled into the breakroom. They looked like a small row of ducks.

Oh I know I shouldn't find that funny because I've put on some extra poundage myself and if I don't lose it I will probably waddle when I walk too. But today it just struck my funnybone.

But I couldn't laugh out loud so I had to try my darndest to hold it in until I got back to my desk. So there I am holding a hot cup of cappucino and trying not to laugh at something I shouldn't be laughing at anyway.

Does this ever happen to anyone else? You get the urge to laugh at something you know is pollitically incorrect to laugh at but you just can't help it? I feel really bad about this.

Happens to me all the time ... my motto is if it's funny, go with it.  If it may hurt someone else, go with it in private.  As for "PC", well, I'm definitely guilty of non-political correctness ... and most times I'm proud of it.

I thought this was going to be an update on Andrea's house mates.

Yes more often than I care to admit to.  But that's okay sometimes you just need to laugh.

Do it all the time - I end up walking around with a smirk on my face trying not to laugh.  I seem to always look like I'm up to something so everyone wants to know what's up - and I can't tell them!

I meant to add this - at least you didn't "quack" at them:

I am only 5 feet tall - when I was pregnant with my son (20 years ago) I definitely "waddled".  Once I was walking across the street toward my mom's house, where she and a friend were waiting in the yard.  As I approached, they started "quacking" at me - it became a running joke in the family - I thought I'd never live it down.

Yep, I kind of have an evil streak in me that makes me note things like that...and I guess it's worse when we really catch a faux pas by somebody don't like!

I know, shame on me, I'm going to hell for being mean, but just sometimes I JUST CAN'T HELP MYSELF!

Thank you all for your comments. I feel much better about it knowing I'm not the only one this happens to.
