Business in Switzerland

I'll be visiting my company's HQ in Switzerland at the end of June.  Can anyone suggest easy travel to nearby points of interest (including different cites/countries) from Basel?  Cheers!

Can I go with you?   I have never been there but that is on my list of future destinations,  here is a link I booked marked from a pbs travel show.  Do a search on Rick Steve's website on Switzerland, it should give you some great choices of places to go and things to do.  Here is a link to some rail trips.

If you get to Lucerne check out the Spreuerbrucke bridge.  There are tons of amazing places to see, but I don't know, that pathway was just extra special.  I stood there and though what it would have been like to cross this bridge when it was first made. 1408!.  Surreal.  Let me see if I can find a link to it..

Downriver, between the Kasernenplatz and the Mühlenplatz, the Spreuerbrücke or Mill Bridge zigzags across the Reuss. This bridge, which was constructed in 1408, features a series of medieval-style 17th Century plague paintings by Kaspar Meglinger titled Dance of Death. It has a small chapel in the middle that was added in 1568.
