A little blowing of one's own trumpet is allowed, I'm sure, from time to time.

I know I'm working as an EA in the CEO office, but my jaw nearly hit the floor today.  A legal firm that does work for us has contacted my company to seek a high-level meeting to discuss certain things (with lunch attached!).  And I've been asked to see this project through - by my very own self.  I'm flattered but also rather surprised as generally only people with the "D" word (Director) in their job titles do this sort of thing.

Well, I won't let it go to my head, but I'm very pleased.

We all get tasked with various activities these days from washing dishes to attending high level meetings.

Enjoy the responsibility Rose.  I'm sure you will benefit from the experience and carry out your duties in the usual professional manner.

Let us know how you get on.

Hi Rose

Make the most of the opportunity and show them you can help free them up to be Directors ... if they have time to undertake tasks like this they obviously aren't kept busy enough!

Best wishes

Cathy

I think that's fantastic, congrats! However, like you say, don't let it go to your head. It also makes me wonder what the 'D's are doing, that they usually attend to these meetings - they should be generating revenues for the business or something! LOL! Anyway, enjoy yourself, do your usual terrific job, and enjoy the limelight for a minute or two.

Let us know how it went!

Cheers,

Trish
