Ok Kharen, you got my attention. What is OAG travel scheduler? My boss and I are 'into' new toys (gadgets, gizmos, programmes and the like) so would love to know more. Jess

One of my colleagues realised the value of those plastic wallets today when another colleague knocked her screen filter off and in turn her coffee all over her desk!
I've now got one of those 'Sherpa' display things on my desk which is proving quite invaluable for keeping useful information close to hand.
All the best, Nicola.

Aside from the computer, as you say in your lead...I guess I'd have to say my phone. I've got it programmed to hold all my international contacts with speed dials, and can use it to page people. I use it for teleconference meetings by hooking up the speaker portion and just listening in while I continue to work. I forward important messages I receive from customers to the appropriate sales people or managers. I've programmed in the express shipping company numbers, as well as other vendors. I'm sure our phone system isn't the most current available, but it's got quite a few handy features, such as internal digital advisories for OUT OF THE OFFICE or IN A MEETING, etc. Movinonup

Movinonup......your reply reminded me of a recent embarassing incident!
The guy from the telephone company was showing me the features of our new telephones. "If you do 63*, it will make an announcement to everyone in the office". He did not mention that this included everyone in our Travel Agency upstairs too! So what did my wonderful colleagues downstairs get me to say? "The toilet is free now"! Thankfully one of our Travel Consultants upstairs rang down in the nick of time to say that they could hear me saying "Hello? Hello?" in stereo around the office! Given the fact that there were clients in the office.......I'm glad this is all they heard me say! And what did my boss do in the height of my unprofessionalism here? He just laughed!
All the best, Nicola.

Absolutely my little notepad. I carry it everywhere, and jot down the one million requests that come my way each day. I rely on it, rather than my memory, and I would be in bad shape if it disappeared!

Can I have 2? I'd say my laptop because I can check everything I need to from that, if I'm on the move or away. And my mobile - like most of the rest, I have important numbers keyed into that so if I lose it, I've had it!!! I don't even think I've got my fella's mobile number anywhere else!!! ... maybe I should rethink that one! Jackie www.iqps.org Peer Moderator

I've thought long and hard on this question... and this is what I've come up with. My cell phone and PDA, for contact information (both personal and professional) and my notepad. Though like most of y'all, if my PC is not working, then I'm pretty much sitting still as 99% of my work is computerized.
