Good afternoon,

I'm just stepping in here to introduce myself.

I've been an EA to a CEO for 13 years in a professional services organization.

My company is going through a period of restructuring, and I have just been appointed Assistant Company Secretary.  It's an exciting opportunity and a significant uplift from my previous status.

I have used this site before as a resource for information, so it's good to be here on the forums.

Best wishes,

Brighton Rock

Thank you so much.  I haven't had the opportunity until now to visit with you here again.

It's very early days in my new role.  The immediate future looks a little bit daunting.  However, I'm determined to make a success of it.  It means some overtime, which will be paid back in time off in lieu.  There are meetings, meetings and more meetings, and lots of study.  Well, that's the price we pay for wanting to climb up the ladder a bit.  I'm not afraid of hard graft.  It's tiring, but I'm sure that I'll toughen up as time goes on.

BR, I know what you mean about it being daunting and tiring, but can recommend either using Berrocca or effervescent Vitamin C tablets in any sort of energy drink as a real brain waker!  Works for me every time (also good for those moments in meetings where someone who loves themselves too much just will not shut up, even when specifically asked to!)
