Just on the back of my earlier vent, what do you do in these situations?

Last minute meeting, visitors arriving on Monday, no meeting room available, no cost code to book hospitality and no room to order it to.....

Short of using my magic wand, which at the moment has almost run out of magic, there is little I can do.

I sometimes think that whilst managers cannot always plan ahead, they do expect us to make this kind of stuff happen.
