Well I think they should know how to do it, but whether or not they should be responsible for doing it could be debated. Some would feel that's a task that logically belongs to the administrative staff.

I have instructions laminated next to my machine that I put together as well. My boss often does his own. Others don't need it all that often, so I usually do it for them if they ask.
