Those might feel like small steps to you Katie, but from where I am sitting you have handled this professionally and assertively which has resulted in your concerns being taken seriously and in a some way addressed. 

You have also shown you are proactive with your follow up adaptation of the Issues Tracking Template.

I think the biggest indication of you being taken seriously though is the situation within the department being raised at a team meeting - it takes a strong leader to admit there are issues that are causing problems.  I do hope you will be allowed a bit more scope now to work with him and help get the department over this glitch.

Well done for tackling it instead of hiding your head in the sand ... inspiration for all the others out there thinking it is just them!
