For me personally I have received gifts at Christmas but not a bonus - mostly wine, vouchers, chocolates etc.  In previous years, I was lucky if I got a pay rise.

Currently the engineering staff get bonuses although I don't think this is necessarily paid out at Christmas.  This is tied in to their annual review/appraisal/objectives.  Admin staff in my opinion never seem to warrant a bonus, which has been the same anywhere else I have worked.  I wish someone could tell me why.

I do think it's quite poor that we are not recognised in the same way as other employees.  Bonuses should be distributed across the board in my opinion.
