On the contrar, I am fortunate to have a boss that is not a micromanager and lets me progress on projects without interference, only updates to him on a periodic basis. However, I do have a couple of his direct reports that I get frustrated with at times. My pet peeve today is folks who just "plop" meeting notices onto the schedule at any time. When I counter and propose a time my boss can attend, they forward my reply direct to his e-mail. He was traveling and these notices appear in his box. He then responds from his blackberry, copying me indicating whether or not he can attend, based on where he is. Why not just contact me first and work through me? It's like I don't exist. Just a little frustrating.
