Hi, your story sounds so much like my own. First, I worked with this same company, as a temp, but in a different area for 10 months. I started here in Sept. and was told that this is a new position that was just created. They need to get it approved through accounting before they can hire someone permanent.
I like working here and I'm sure everyone here likes me as well. After I had only worked here a month I discovered that I had a serious back problem and needed to have surgery immediately. They held the position for me for a month while I was recovering and wouldn't let the agency place anyone else here.
The pay is good, but I desperately need the health benefits.
I just don't want to put another 10 months into nothing. At the first place I mentioned I had many responsibilities and really felt they should have given me the opportunity to stay there. I don't want that happening again. What is the usual time for a temp position? Should I just give it a little while longer? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Marilyn
