If you feel comfortable enough, I say go for it.  Tact and decorum are a must, be polite, but be honest.  You need to get on with your life and move forward.  If they aren't, you should get looking.  A pay cut is no fun and can put you into serious financial problems (I'm going through this right now).  Best wishes!
