I agree Andrea, they really are great books! I was lucky enough to go to DeSmet, SD which is the homestead site of LIW and took the town tour and they had a working farm that was quite nice to see for a day. That was part of our 3 week adventure a few years back and it was quite the trip. I still look back on that trip with lots of good memories. That was the beginning of our trip and I kinda wished it were at the end so we'd have more time to spend, but all in all it worked out great and I recommend going there if you are ever in the wonderful state of South Dakota.
