Wondering about our reputation... something happened to the remainder of my posting.



I was saying that we have a reputation for having some of the most overweight people in the nation (myself included).  I attribute this to having some of the best restaurants in the world.  You can find great places to eat around every corner throughout the city.



With the successful of Emeril's TV show, getting into any of his restaurants here is hard.  Two of my favs are Commanders Place and Arnauds (who have a wonderful display of Mardi Gras memorabilia).



Mardi Gras has started and will continue through the last week of February.  I personally hope to leave the city that week.  I have lived here most all my life and don't have any desire to stand in line for an hour to use a restroom, but that is just my opinion.
