I think I am respected though kind of taken for granted at times (aren't we all though?!).
I have been with my company for 12 years and previously worked in the IT department and have also done occasional work in various other departments. This means that I am fairly knowledgeable about most aspects of our company so people often come to me for assistance. I do get sick of the sound of my name at times, but at the same time hopefully they respect and value me.
I feel very happy and settled with this company and lucky to be where I am.
