Unfortunately not all bosses/companies recognise the day/week. It is great to see that some do, and not only do they recognise the importance of this to the employee, but certainly do/give something special to them to mark the day.
I am one of the 'unfortunates' that is not recognised, then again I am in a Managerial position nowadays, so don't actually expect it.
I also run a home-based business, so I'm my own boss there - and decided to treat myself to a long soak in the bath with favourite bath bombs, some 'easy listening' music playing, candles burning........just felt thoroughly pampered, then later enjoyed a nice glass of wine.
