Hi Maggie,

I agree with Countrigal. It is likely that you are being written off as overqualified by the interviewers and being willing to take a pay cut doesn't help (in fact, it likely makes it worse!). Most companies believe (and HR studies bear this out, I think) that if you take a job with a paycut just to take a job, you will end up continuing your job search and leaving within 6-12 months when something better comes along.

You either need to be applying for higher level jobs or you need to "dumb down" your resume for the lower paying positions. (I'd hate to see you do that, but sometimes the reality is we have to do what we have to do to get the job).

Make two versions of your resume and start doing comparisons for response rates. Tweak it as necessary.
