Well, when I went online that night, but posting was gone! In my organization, that means it was filled, probably a week ago.
Oh, well. I did see another possibility that also looks interesting and would be a step up, so I got that in pronto. I've also reactivated my profile on Monster and updated my LinkedIn account and have the word out to some former coworkers that I'm "exploring opportunities".
It's funny -- once I've sort of made up my mind to start looking, I'm feeling calmer at work. As if knowing I've "given myself permission" to look elsewhere, I'm not feeling quite as trapped, even though there's no guarantee for anything.
