My group's HR rep realized what level I'm at and said, "Oh, that's wrong, we need to fix that. We will definitely fix that for you." Apparently, after they discussed a promotion for me last year, she assumed it happened. It didn't.
Everyone in our group is at the same paygrade - one above mine. It is hard when I'm treated as "less than" because the group assumed when I transferred that I had been eliminated from my old division and that's why I was at a lower level. That hurts and that's the main reason I've been pushing for equivalency. Anyway, long story, but it looks like it will end well for me. Yay!

And don't forget that if the promotion was promised to you and the order somehow got lost in the shuffle, you MIGHT be looking at a nice case of "retroactive pay raise", which might buy a nice summer holiday. They say Paris is nice this time of year...... Andrea
