Don't get me wrong, of course I support England but I'm not really into football that much.  However, this current match between England and Portugal is driving me crazy.....and just because my poor other half is sitting over there on the other sofa looking so worried and tense that I just don't know what to say to him!  Bless!
I'm sure he thinks the players can hear his 'helpful' tips!

Nicola.

Being from Norn Iron I supported England right up until this match.  However the Portuguese played better football and to be honest deserved to win.  The commentors all support England no matter what - their goal was disallowed as they fouled the goalkeepr - deal with it and move on!  Now Holland have beaten Sweden on penalties and it will be a proper nail-bitter in the final!!!  Come on Tim!  (Henman)

Hi G

I posted my original message during the game before it got to that horrible penalty shoot-out (we always seem to get to that point!) and my other half deteriorated fairly rapidly as the game went on!  I went upstairs during the penalties but came down just as we lost......he then just got up and put his headphones on and played on his computer game for hours, gotta let him have his space to deal with it I suppose!

Walking through Cambridge the next morning on the way to work, everyone looked downhearted.......and I didn't see half as many England flags flying from the cars!

All the best,
Nicola.
