How can an internal job be filled before -
- being advertised?
- applications are received?
- candidates are shortlisted?
- invited to interview?
- the job is offered?
Totally bizarre!
Aside from any legalities -- our website is not always the most up to date. It may have been posted there for quite some time before I happened to see it when I decided to start looking. I work for a public institution -- and they're
very careful about possible discrimination suits when it comes to employment. I have no doubt all the steps Gee listed were abided by -- they just didn't take the posting off the web fast enough.
