Well, that's it, all over for another four years. I was a bit disappointed in the closing ceremony, thought they missed a trick with 'Freddie' and We Are the Champions and Duran Duran' s Rio.

I thought the Rio handover was as bonkers as the opening ceremony  Grin

Fave bit - apart from all the amazingly talented athletes was the Queen and James Bond. I will never ever forget the tiny smile on the Queen's face.

Indeed, Sunflower.  We are back on normal time now.  For the duration of the Games my company, as well as many others in our locality, changed our working hours.  We started just after 7.00 am and finished early in the mid-afternoon.

My long commute to work meant that I had to get up at what seemed like the middle of the night.  LOL.  I liked the Games very much and the opening and closing ceremonies, which were quite eccentric and very British.

It was wonderful to see so many young, shiny, happy people being rewarded for all their efforts and dedication.

It is also wonderful to be rising at a more respectable hour.   Smiley

Gosh Rain, that must have been hard - despite the good-ish weather, I still struggle to get up in the mornings!  But at least your company recognised the potential difficulties for everyone travelling to work.  But it did seem as good old London Transport coped quite well?

I am just so missing having stuff to watch at night.  You don't realise how hooked you become till it's over.  Roll on the Paralympics which I think will be very good too.
