More rain again today. Every July seems to be the same. We had an announcement yesterday at 4pm requesting employees to move their cars from outside my building. I thought, mmm it's only rain. About half an hour later as I was clocking out I realised the reason for the announcement. The rainwater was so deep I had to go out a side entrance and avoid the pond that had developed. You would have needed wellington boots to wade through it. It seems in 2007 we had a really bad flood. The rainwater was so deep, it nearly covered the rooves of some cars and also caused serious damage to computer equipment on the ground floor of this same building. Maybe an umbrella just isn't enough any more!  |
