I just think Bush is doing all the right things with the right people in his corner and asking for help and getting it (for the most part) just seems to prove he's working hard for a very difficult battle to win no matter who would be President.

As for the flags, I see your point, but lets just hope they stay and is not an in-the moment type thing,  lets hope 8 mos from now they are still waving as much as they are today.

It would be far sadder, I believe, if this horrible tragedy had happened and everyone ignored it and the flags weren't flying as they are today.

This is a wake-up call.  People are trying to visibly show their "true colors" and that they care, grieve and mourn the lost and that they will fight and support the United States in it's fight to stamp out terrorism.

The flying of flags is a memorial to those that were murdered in this cowardly terrorist attack.  The new patriots, as well as veteran patriots, have come to realize (if they already weren't aware) that it could have been them, or their own loved ones, that came to such a tragic, senseless end.  It happened on September 11, and it can happen again, anytime, anyplace.

The terrorists have shown us how very vulnerable we really are and that has made a tremendous impact on people to not take this wonderful country and our many freedoms for granted.

We have been violated on our OWN soil in a horrific, unexpected, blind, cowardly act.  That in itself stirs tremendous emotions.  We all have our ways of expressing ourselves.  That is the beauty of being an American.
