What software do you feel you are best at? For me I used to be excellent at Excel, but not using it like I did over the past few years my skills on macros and look ups aren't as sharp. I still feel it is the one I know the best. Edited by jackie on 14/06/05 10:05 AM.

I'm good with Word.
Most of my software knowledge has been self taught, never actually took a class. Thinking about trying a couple of advanced classes for power point and access to gain some knowledge on things that I know I should be able to do, but just can't quite figure it out.

Good with all of the MS suite - MOS certified. Have also been asked to carry out some training in work so I do need to be up to speed. Am also called upon on a daily basis to assist with any problems or help out with queries which I really enjoy and take pleasure in solving.

I'm best at Word - self-taught. I first learned Wordperfect for Windows (which I actually think is better) and then we changed over to Word, with no instructions on how to use it so I just knuckled down and got to it. But I then spent hours out of each day showing other people how to use it - because they were scared to go in and find out for themselves!
This was years ago, I hasten to add!!
Powerpoint and Excel I'm okay on - did a course on Powepoint but never really have to use it. Excel was self-taught with a few tips!

Definitely Word. That's the software I've used the most; I've used just about every function in it from formatting text to incorporating graphics to adding up columns of numbers (yes you can do that in Word!)

Powerpoint - self-taught, by necessity because of a presentation I had to give with 1/2 an hours preparation. However, over the years I've grown to love its little quirks - it's now my preferred application!

Powerpoint, like a lot of the responses this was self taught and I feel probably the best way to really 'learn' something. Also Visio which again was self taught. Maybe that says more about the creative side of me and that I enjoy making things to look pretty?

Word for me - it's the one I use the most and probably feel most comfortable with. Helen

Word - again self taught. Like GeminiGirl I started off with WordPerfect and now use Word 97 at work and XP at home although I have to say I prefer 97!

I would have to say I'm best at Word Perfect, but use Word quite often. I love using Excel and Access and have just learned Power Point. I believe I am a software geek and am always interested in learning something new.

I'd have to say that I'm equally proficient in Word, Access, and Powerpoint, with slightly fewer Excel skills but still more than anyone else in my division. my fav program is Access though. And I'm self-taught on them all - learning by trial and error.

I thought I was great at Excel until I took a test yesterday through a website (can't remember the name) but it was all multiple choice questions and I goofed up. I am totally hands on and just do what I need to do in Excel and really can't explain it in the format of this test. I probably will not get an interview for a job that requires a lot of Excel just because of this test.
Otherwise, I am pretty good at all Microsoft products.
