If we were all to do our part, the world would turn around.  I hate that mindset, that just one person can't make a difference....it's the one, and the next one, and the next one.  You never know who you influence with your behavior.  I agree with you, and maybe by continuing to do what you know is right, your friend will come around, and pass it on.
