I am sure this may have been posted before.  Why is it they will hire a recent college grad with a Masters degree in the study of the tsetse fly with no admin experience over an admin professional with 20+ years experience who can hit the ground running?  Money?  You are a "cute young" thing?  More interested in planning partying with your friends than doing the "boring" aspects of the job?  This is what I am competing with.

Also, why do some people think being an admin is easy?

Chikky, I think you will find that comes under the category of (and please do excuse the coarseness of the reply, I am quoting what I was told a long time ago) the 'leg over management school of employment'!
