Opinions please.
My company is sending four of us to another city for orientation.  Two of the four are not very travel savvy.  Three of us are returning on the same flight.  It will be during rush hour for the drive home.  I picked a middle seat near the front of the plane to deplane as soon as possible and get to the off site parking.  I'm very travel savvy.    I'm not sure where the others are parking or plans.  Do I need to wait for them to deplane before continuing on to park and ride?  It's only a one night stay so I will not be checking any luggage and I'm pretty sure the other two will check luggage.  I don't want to be rude but I know I will want to get home!

If you aren't commuting together to the airport, I wouldn't worry about it too much, but do be safe yourself! Do let them know that you will be going ahead to your car, since you don't have checked luggage (if it actually turns out they are checking luggage). If it's only a one night trip, they may surprise you! So be prepared in case they don't check luggage - would that affect your plans?

Of course, bear in mind too, this is an opportunity for you to do some mentoring and build your relationships with them.

One def. checking luggage too many hair products Smiley  We have worked together five years and are as built together as we are ever going to be.  Hubby told me I have to wait Sad.  Oh well I'll play nice (and play it by ear!).

I don't think anyone would take it personal.  If they did.. who cares! (well you know what I mean, not be rude).  I would go on my own unless it was mandated by management to carpool.

My hubby met me at the gate - oh the perks of being an airline employee.  (He still had to do the bus and employee parking lot while I went on to public park and ride).  But I played nice and took employee to park and ride as we were using the same company.
