I would suggest going to the IT Director (after letting your supervisor know) and just saying something along the lines of: "I know in today's economy lots of companies are downsizing a little to cut costs. If anyone in my area needs to go, I'm willing to go. It would be a little rough on those admins staying, as my duties would have to fall on their already burdened shoulders, as we're all busy folks, but we can do it if it will benefit the company."
As long as you let your supervisor know and he/she approves then you should be ok to discuss it in this general way. You're not saying that your job is boring or you don't have enough to do or that you'll expendable, just that you're willing to sacrifice yourself to help the company cut costs, even though your loss will be felt throughout the facility.
