Good morning everyone,

I'm in the office a little early and stopped to read Joan Lloyd's column, "Know When to Stop and Take Stock of Yourself" from the link on our home page here at TAA.

Please, everyone, take the time to stop and read this column.  It's an eye opener, especially for those of you who surf the various "admin" type boards.

How many of your fellow "posters" (or even yourself) do you see in this column?

It's a great article.

You're right Robbie - it IS a great article.  Many people have a very hard time being completely honest with themselves and hopefully, this article will help people do that (myself included!!!).

Don't ya just LUV Joan? She's got that gritty real world thing that really makes her advice seem worth listening to as far as Im concerned.

And I think Sungoddess suggested a couple of days ago that everyone read this one, however, I was late getting the links up on the site, so get it today, because they change again tomight Smiley

Andrea Who HOO! It's a double Joan week at TAA.

I actually, LITERALLY, did this about 2 years ago, when I had a serious conversation about the status of my job.  I was paying off student loans and needed the job.  Having a conversation with my best friend in the world helped.  We know each other better than anyone, even ourselves.  And she was candid about the way I acted.  And I took everything she said into account.  Fortunately, I was young (26) and I could correct each item easily by paying attention to how I acted instead of just going about my day blindly.  In some ways, we may have to question each act or word that comes out of our mouths before we say them, but if it improves your professional and personal relationships, I find it a small price to pay.
