Does your office have a busy time of the year?  If so, what time of year is it?  If you do have a busy time is it company wide, department wide or just "you?"

Usually the last week of each month is pretty busy because of billing when we need to get the money in and year end when we bill even more madly to get even more money in!

Working in a law firm, the day to day workloads by department tend to be dictated by the economic climate - for example in times of recession then litigation, insolvency and restructuring are very busy but when there is plenty of money about there tends to be more company/finance work.

I'm in fundraising so our busy seasons start in October and go through December and then we have a slight lull until March and then all the spring activities kick in until mid -June.  We're never actually quiet, but late winter and late summer tend to be when we can catch our breath.

Ah, those were the days!  Thank gawd I don't have to worry about that particular problem at the moment.  I am only ever busy when I have won a new client/job!  At the moment, just got the one ongoing hourly and that particular team is being quiet at the moment!  Cheesy

My workload is fairly steady, busier times are when the court calanders start setting dates for the year and we get a flurry of activity that had probably been put off for years!  End of year is traditionally slower for me and I can get the filing organized and shipped off site.  There always seems to be some sort of project to carry through the less than hectic times.

Overall, for our office the last week of every month is the busiest, with stress and workload increasing up through 6pm that last workday of the month.  We're on production standards for the office, so as the end of the month approaches, there is a scramble to get as close to or exceed the production requirements as we can so our bosses don't get called out on the national updates.  Since my job is only a fraction of what the station's is... my busiest time is the week before the end of month, as I have to have all my reviews done before the last 5 workdays of the month, so I can be on hand to assist with production requirements as needed.

Pretty busy year around.  Jan thru March especially since it is the end of the fiscal year.

I can't really say what my busiest time of the year is - have only been in the position for 8 months and it seems to have been a very busy 8 months so far Smiley
