I've been reading old Harlequins and the series is about Genies. Let's have a little fun - if you had three wishes what would you wish for? In the books the wishes have to directly benefit yourself - so no world peace please. 1 I'd wish my cat was still alive and healthy - still grieving over losing my 24 year old Thomasina a month ago. 2. I'd wish for a spanking new kitchen and hope I would make some meals to share with friends and family. 3. I'd wish to be a better wife to my husband, because he truly is the love of my life and wonderful to me. (I guess I'd have to find a way to phrase that to benefit me!) sappy I know - well let's hear yours...

The Chinese have a saying, be careful what you wish for.
I'm not sure I desire anything at the moment only my health and happiness, which thankfully I have. More possessions lead to debt and more money leads to greed.
Personally it would be nice to have a little more, but I won't wish for it. We should be thankful for what we have and not for what we don't.
For me, having close family and friends counts for everything especially when you have lost people that meant a lot. Money cannot buy you happiness.

Oh, this one is easy for me...
1) I would wish for my mother to regain her eyesight. 2) I would wish for my father to regain his strength and have a healthy heart. 3) I would wish that I could find a man to spend the rest of my life with.
Yes, the first 2 would benefit me because it tears at my heart and causes a lot of stress in my life watching my parents' health deteriorate.

Hmmmm....let me see....
1) My own home on a couple of acres out in the woods so the dogs can bark all day and not bother anyone and I'd have plenty of room for a garden and some chickens.
2) A job where I can work from home. I've always wanted to do that, but I have to have insurance, so I keep working my 9-5 job.
3) A like-minded community to worship with. My beliefs are a bit eclectic, so finding others to share worship time with is difficult.

Oh this is a good thread :-)
I'd wish for my dad to have peace of mind. (cuz it breaks my heart knowing how unhappy he is and that he's the only one that can change it)
I'd wish for all the money and street smarts - lol, money smarts so i could know how to invest really well, and street smarts so i was wise enough to not fall for any rip off artists, cuz there are a lot out there.
but first, above everything else, i'd wish to have intuitive wisdom and talent - that would make my boyfriend happier than he ever thought possible.. cuz he's the love of my life and he deserves it!

I've thought about this for a while and think I've come up with my three wishes.
1) That my 12 year old stepdaughter ceases to have health problems and that she could have children when she's older as the Bone Marrow Transplant has robbed her of that and she is heartbroken. 2) That my 11 year old daughter, realises how beautiful she is and grows up to be confident and achieves her potential. 3) That my 7 yr old son never changes, he's as bright as a button, confident and funny.
If they all achieve their dreams and grow up to be as beautiful and as fun as they are now then I don't need wishes for myself or my husband.
