Festive lights On the tree Children playing Happy and free
Presents, boxes Parcels, post A time of year To give the most
Candles, tinsel Ribbons and bows Robins singing On each hedgerow
Cinnamon sticks Mulled red wine Apple cider Sweet minced pies
Frosted Jack And old St Nick A few Eggnogs Ah, just the trick!
Turkey, trimmings Cranberry jelly Enough food To fill our bellies
Crisp white snow Lies all around The world is at peace Not a sound
Then some bright spark Connects the Wii And granny wakes Play what? Who, me?
Ipod, Iphone I what? Oh, moan! Make the family Take me home
Enough of this silly Festive glee I want my shawl And cup of tea
As if by magic The day it ends And soon a new year Begins again
