Kudos to Andrea!!!
What a timely piece for me! My new boss begins here on Tuesday - a woman. I'm as nervous as can be... after my last job I swore I would never work under another woman -- and here I am being put into that position again. Why not work for another woman? In my experience, women have not taken well to my no-nonsense, no beating around the bush style.
And to make matters worse, I'm going to be 2 floors away from her!!! Long story, but I'm stuck where I am until July 1 (no space for me), but she's starting in the new area. I'm afraid I won't appear to be effective, or interested in goings-on, not to mention a thousand other things.
