Regardless of whether we are talking green offices or any other area of human existence, as Laura says, yes one person makes a difference - it might take time but we each influence others (and it is not always obvious that we are doing so) and so the changes grow even if very slowly.
Every single individual is capable of making change on a global scale - we just don't know which action is going to start the chain reaction so keep on trying all of them!
