Interesting post. However, you need to take into account whether you are a "temp from the agency" or a temp-to-perm hired by the company. If the former then you are on the agency "contract"; if the latter then you are on the company contract. There is a deadline for contracts to be issued to employees and I don't think you have reached that yet. Being as savvy as you are, though, you will have all this information at your fingertips.
