Okay as some of you may know I am job hunting just now and I have just received an interesting offer:

"I need a good tractor person - send me your CV and I can set you on lifting tatties (potatoes) by Friday"

Now I would love to have an outdoor job, especially if I didn't have a mortgage to pay ... only one problem ... can anyone give me a 'crash' course in tractor driving between now and Friday - how difficult can it be? Wink

This was a semi-serious offer from a contact on another forum - it has done me more good than he realises because it has made me smile and smile and smile ... maybe oneday!

The weather is great outside right now and it could tie you over.  I know you are kidding - here's my version.  The dh went across the pond (US to UK) four months after we were married for a six month assigment.  We have a full acre lot around our house with lots of hardwoods.  It was survival to learn how to use the riding mower to keep up the yard as he left mid October.  It was fine except the seat cover was cracked and when it got wet - ugh!
Moral of the story we are resourceful and learn to do anything we put our minds to doing!
