We are to begin renovation of a building that will be our new headquarters building.  We are planning a "groundbreaking" ceremony and reception but don't want to call it a "groundbreaking".  I looked in my Thesaurus and couldn't come up with anything.  I would also like the phrase to be kind of catchy, if you know what I mean.  Any ideas?

How about "landscape expansion"?   (Hearing the boo and hissing and those rotton tomato hurt).

What about a "Restoration Celebration"?  I figured, if you're renovating a building to use as your new one, then you're restoring it to good use...  Just another idea to add to the one you've received.

Hi,

If it is renovation, then why don't you call it 'Renovation Ceremony'?
