Thank you for posting that Winkie.  He is so right.  We are just like a family in this country - what we say and do to each other is our business and between ourselves, but let an outsider hurt one of us, and he has the whole family to deal with.

I was leafing through my dog-eared hymnal last night and was struck by the SECOND verse of our national anthem:

Oh, thus be it ever when free men shall stand

between their loved homes and the war's desolation;

blessed with vict'ry and peace, may the heaven-rescued land

praise the power that hath made and preserved us a nation.

Then conquer we must, when our cause, it is just,

and this be our motto: IN GOD IS OUR TRUST(!)

And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave

O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Whoa!  >standing ovation<  I think that summed up everyone's thoughts and that last paragraph was simply perfect.  It is times like these that I'm proudest to be an American.

Kathy - I got that article, too.  It sure says a lot, doesn't it?  The Miami Herald article was wonderful, too.

We ARE one nation, under God, and we will survive and thrive!
